Seafood is inspired by the first viral TV news story in the US. It’s the 12^th of November, 1970 and KATU news is about to broadcast an event that becomes a comedic masterpiece. A dead whale has washed up on the beach of Florence Oregon, and the Department of Transportation in collaboration with the US Navy, have decided the only way to remove it would be to blow it up with 20 tonnes of dynamite. Naturally.

Displeased at how the situation was handed the first time round, when a second, fictional whale washes up a year later, the Seagulls try to band together in order to get to the whale before the humans do, to varying degrees of success.
